Self-leveling concrete is one of the greatest introductions to our field of work. It lessens the need for manpower to level out the clumps that have been typical in concrete. Self-leveling concrete can be found at many home improvement stores. It’s a solution that one can set on a designated area to ensure that the hardened concrete will be even and smooth. There is a special polymer added to this solution which allows for the finished product to be more leveled. You will want to take advantage of this solution which aims to make you feel as though you are walking on smooth, solid ground.
Why Self-Leveling Concrete?
Self-leveling concrete is simply the better investment. In the past, man had to use various tools or tractors to flatten the surface of concrete. That’s a lot of additional work when the concrete can simply be made to be even. This solution is considered quite simple to handle which is why it is made available to many home and business owners; however, we slightly disagree with this notion. Although there aren’t too many steps setting self-leveling concrete, a level of preciseness is needed for the best results. One misstep can make you feel as though you wasted an investment. Trust our team to level you out!
Self-leveling concrete can take color well, given its thinner composition. However, not all forms of color best serve this material. For example, paint is not the best addition to concrete, especially if the concrete has been painted before and you wish to add a new color to it. We add color to our concrete installation through a process called staining. We can also add color through floor stenciling. For the color to take, the concrete is usually sanded so that a rough surface is created, and the color can stick to the rougher surface much better.
This form of concrete can stand the test of time. Its durability should not be questioned given its thinner texture. The thinner texture is a result of the polymer added to the solution that allows it to spread out and create that smooth surface you desire. Trust that self-leveling concrete is one of the best sellers in our industry and it helps people who do our line of work save time and increase results. Allow us to set your foundation so that you can see how long-lasting this form of concrete truly is.
Remove Paint from Surface
Self-leveling concrete offers a smooth finish which requires a bit of sanding in order for color to take to the surface. We specialize in a coloring method called staining. After the surface is sanded so that the material is rougher, we can apply color. Paint is not the best solution for color because the chemicals in paint and those in the concrete solution do not always blend well. Paint must also be scrubbed off of surfaces in areas where a new concrete foundation is to be laid because the newer concrete will not set if placed atop too smooth of a surface.
